SLAF CTS Diyatalawa Inter Unit Netball Champions 2019
SLAF Combat Training School (CTS) Diyatalawa won the Inter Unit Netball Championship 2019 defeating SLAF Academy China Bay by 35-12 in the finals concluded at the Air Force Health Management Centre (HMC) in Colombo yesterday (9 April 2019).
Lady Officer Cadet Croos SID of SLAF Academy China Bay was adjudged as the Best Shooter while Aircraftwomen (Under Training) Wickramarathne PCD from Diyatalawa was adjudged the Best Defensive Player. Leading Aircraftwomen Pujani AKDD again from Diyatalawa became the Best Center Court Player.
Aircraftwomen (Under Training) Perera LRD also from Diyatalawa was crowned as the Inter Unit Netball Queen for the year 2019.
The Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Anoma Jayampathy graced the occasion as Chief Guest and gave away the awards. Chairperson of SLAF Netball Pool, Group Captain Sureka Dias, Officers, Airmen and Airwomen representing the Academy, Bases and Stations witnessed the event.
