The Annual Assessment Camp of the Air Wing (Girls) Cadets of the National Cadet Corps was conducted at the Sri Lanka Air Force Station Diyatalawa from 27th May 2013 to 5th June 2013. The Passing out Parade   was held on 04th June 2013 under the patronage of Major General GBW Jayasundara RWP RSP the Director of the National Cadet Corps who took the salute of the Parade as the Chief Guest of this occasion.

The cadets of the Air Wing were very enthusiastic about enhancing their knowledge and skills pertaining to the Air Force and on civil subjects with the aim of facing the tests and competitions at the conclusion of this camp. Subjects such as Drill, Map Reading, Field Craft, First-Aid, Leadership, Compass March and Confidence Building activities were some of the areas where a special enthusiasm was shown by the cadets.

After a keen competition Pushpadana Girls College Kandy emerged the First place whilst the 2nd and 3rd places were secured by Henegama Central College and Sri Sumangala College Panadura respectively.

The Acting Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Diyatalawa Wg Cdr SPVK Senadheera, the senior officers of the Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Air Force and the National Cadet Corps, principals, teachers and the students of respective schools and their parents also witnessed this colourful occasion.
