Closing address of no. 42 regiment officer cadets’ regiment branch course
No. 42 Regiment Officer Cadets’ branch
training course was concluded on 16 June 2014 under the patronage of the
Commanding Officer of the Combat Training School Diyatalawa Group
Captain WWPD Fernando.
Fifteen (15) Officer Cadets of the No.54 and five (05) from No.08 Lady Officer Cadet intakes underwent a thirteen (13) month rigorous training phase from 13 May to 16 June 2014 in order to be proficient on the following subjects under the directives of the Commanding Officer and close supervision of the Officer Commanding Training, Wing Commander GPNC Piyasena.
o Combat Training
o Specialized Combat Phase
o General Service Knowledge
o Guest Lecture Phase on Management, Personality Development and International Humanitarian Law
o Methods of Instructions
The Officer Cadets of the above courses will report again to the School in order to follow their Advanced phase of the Administration course after completion of a six (06) day course grant.
