“Guwan Hamuda Papedi Sawariya 2013” was held for the 14th consecutive year, coinciding with the 62nd Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force. The men’s race was held on 1st 2nd and  3rd  March 2013  in 3 stages. Cyclist from all around the country including cyclists from the North and the East participated to this race and the total distance of the men’s race was 420Km. Upul Lokuge of the Police won the overall Championship whilst Madushanka Perera of the Air Force won the 2nd place. The team event was won by Sri Lanka Army and Air Force was placed second.

In the women’s race held on 3rd March 2013 from Katukurunda to Colombo Ayesha Sumanweera won the overall championship whilst Iresha Madushani became second in the event. The team event held for the first time was won by Air Force.

The presentation ceremony was held at the Rifle Green and the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal HD Abeywickrama graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. The Chief of Staff Air Vice Marshal KA Gunatilleke, the President of the Interim Committee of the Cycling Federation Air Vice Marshal GP Bulathsinghala, representatives from the main sponsors LG Abans and the media partner Rupavahini were also present at the presentation ceremony
