In addition to the stock of recoveries made in recently in the area of ‘Kandalkadu’ recently, another reserve of war like materials were recovered in the same area last evening (18 November 2009) by the Air Force Ground Element based at the Special Operations Group Trinncomalee. The recovered include 92, 82mm Mortar bombs, 52 Cartridges, 119 Fuse, !85 AP Mines(Jonny), and 1700 MPMG ammunition.

Further, the Group Commanded of Special Operations Group Trinncomalee, Wing Commander Indika Weerarathna, stated that more clearance operations in the area is in progress.
