A Delegation from the Bangladesh NDC Visits Air Force Headquarters

A 26-member delegation of the Bangladesh National Defence College (NDC) comprising senior Officers of Tri-Services from Bangladesh, Nigeria, China, India and few Officials from Bangladesh Civil Service who are currently on their Overseas  Study Tour to Sri Lanka, paid a visit to the Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters today (24th September 2013). The delegation was headed by Brigadier General MD Latiful Haider, the Secretary of Bangladesh NDC. The delegation was accompanied by the Bangladesh Defence Advisor in Sri Lanka Commodore Mudasser Nasir.
 
On their arrival to AFHQ, they were received by Air Vice Marshal K Yahampath, the Director Training of the Air Force. Subsequently, a presentation was conducted by Group Captain SJS Fernando, the Senior Staff Officer Air Operations on ‘post conflict role and challenges’ of the Sri Lanka Air Force. Thereafter, the delegation had the opportunity to meet the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Air Vice Marshal, KA Gunatilleke who made himself available for an interactive Q&A Session for the benefit of the senior ranking NDC students.

On conclusion, Brigadier General MD Latiful Haider presented a symbolic memento to the Chief of Staff. The Chief of Staff reciprocated by presenting a memento to Brigadier General MD Latiful Haider to mark the event. Director Operation Air Vice Marshal GP Bulathsinghala, Director Aeronautical Engineering Air Vice Marshal PDJ Kumarasiri and Director Health Services Air Commodore DMS Karunaratne were also present at the occasion.
