Indian Naval Chief Calls on the Commander of the Air Force

A Delegation of Indian Naval Officials headed by Admiral Devendra Kumar Joshi, Chief of the Naval Staff  of the Indian Navy called on the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama, this evening  (28th November 2013) at Air Force Headquarters Colombo.

The Chief of the Naval Staff was received upon arrival, by the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama and was afforded a Guard of Honour which was conferred by the Colour Squadron of the SLAF. The Guard of Honour was commanded by Flight Lieutenant IRTPB Senevirathna.

 


The delegation which comprised of three senior Naval Officers was accompanied by the Defence Attache of the Indian Embassy in Sri Lanka, Captain Sumeet Kapoor. The Commander had a discussion with the delegation on matters of mutual interest. The duo also shared views on opportunities and possibilities available for similar collaboration in the years to come.

Mementos were exchanged between Admiral DK Joshi and the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force to mark this memorable occasion.
