New Set Of Airmen Joins As Instructors

63 Airmen obtained their badges as Drill and Gunner Instructors on the 28th of April 2014 at the Combat Training School, Sri Lanka Air Force Diyatalawa after completion of more than five months of training.

The first phase of training commenced on the 26th of September and was completed on 06th December 2013 simultaneously for both Drill and Gunner Instructor courses.  This phase comprised mostly of academics and practice-mutual training sessions. The second phase of practical training that focused attention on on-the-job training designed to improve their skills and to share the experience with the veterans of the "Instructor Community".
        
The Commanding Officer of the School Group Captain WWPD Fernando who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest gave away the Pace Sticks, Canes, and Lanyards for the newly passed out instructors.  He also presented the trophies for those who emerged as winners in their Academic and Training disciplines.
