SLAF In Action At The Galle Season 2009

Galle Season 2009 was staged from 27 Dec 09 to 31 Dec 09 at the Galle Fort premises, which involved exhibitions, cultural pageants, street parades/ tours on Galle History, fashion shows and old crock rallies.
The event also included displays from the three Armed Forces in which the SLAF exhibition site was a main attraction in this colourfull event, that attracted huge crowds both day and night despite the infrequent dristling that took place. As per the organizing officials , nearly 125,000 spectators have visited the exhibition site during the five days.
The 28 Dec 09 was named as the "Air Force Day" and SLAF displayed its Glamor and Glory through its Air Power display (fly past), Sky Diving and performances by the band and the cultural troupes.
The event activities were coordinated by SLAF Unit Koggala with the assistance of AFHQ, SLAF Station Ekala and No.9 Attack Helicopter Squadron.
The undaunted contribution made by the SLAF to make this whole event a success were praised by the event organizers.
