Sri Lanka Air Force Station Palaly won the Inter Unit Rugby Championship 2016 beating SLAF CTS Diyatalawa by 24-10 in the finals concluded at  SLAF  Base Ratmalana today  (16 August 2016).

At the women's game, SLAF Combat Training School Diyathalawa defeated SLAF Base Katunayaka by 15-0 points and clinched the women's championship.

The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Chief of Staff of the SLAF Air Vice Marshal Ranil Gurusinghe, Members of the Air Force Board of Management, The Chairman SLAF Rugger Air Vice Marshal Vijitha Gunarathne, Officers and other ranks also witnessed the finals.
