SLAF Awarded National Productivity Award 2015

Sri Lanka Air Force received the Gold award for  the National Productivity award 2015 for the Public Sector - Inter Departments category at the National Productivity Awards ceremony held at the Stein Studios Ratmalana today (15 Dec ember 2016).
 
The ‘National Productivity Awards 2015’ is organized by the National Productivity Secretariat (NPS) established under the Ministry of Public Administration and Management.  This annual competition appraises institutes which had become successful by incorporating productivity concepts and best practices throughout the previous calendar year.
 
 In this competition, the ‘Gold Award’ is awarded to organizations that have won the ‘Productivity Award’ in a particular category previously and who have been able to sustain their best practices continuously by scoring over the 90th percentile during a fresh assessment of the organization.
 
AFHQ, SLAF CTS DLA, ITW Rma, AFM, No 4 Sqn and AEW were presented for the productivity assessment to cover the areas of Operational, Engineering, Training, research and Development and Welfare. The SLAF participated in this competition as one entity by achieving the same level of improvement in implementation of productivity concepts in all areas.

The Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Vice Marshal DLS Dias accepted the award from  His Excellency the President Maithripala Sirisena.  Members of the AFBM were also present at the awards ceremony.
