SLAF Produces Another Batch of EOD Qualified Personnel
The Badge Awarding Parade of No. 32 Officers, No.05 Lady Officers, No. 47 Airmen, No. 08 Airwomen and No.23 Naval personnel Basic EOD Course was successfully concluded at SLAF Station Palavi on 16 Dec 2016.

The Commanding Officer of the Junior Command & Staff College, Sri Lanka Air Force Academy, China Bay, Air Commodore AJ Amarasinghe, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

A total of thirty five personnel comprising 04 SLAF Officers and 02 Naval Officers, 24 Airmen, 02 Airwomen and 03 Sailors from the Sri Lanka Navy followed the course which was conducted for a period of over five months.

Flying Officer SDD Ramanayake and Leading Aircraftman Karunarathne VRSD were adjudged as the Best EOD Officer and Best EOD Airman of the course respectively.

CO SLAF Station Palavi Wg Cdr LDRP Gunawardena, CO EOD Trg School Sqn Ldr KANI Kumarasinghe, Officers and Airmen of SLAF Stn Palavi were also present respectively to witness the event.
