SLAF Base Katunayake Regiment Wing and SLAF Trade Training School Ekala emerged the men’s and women's Champions at the Inter Unit Judo Championship 2017 which was concluded on 22 June 2017 at Indoor Stadium, SLAF Base Katunayake.
 
Over 200 Judokas took part in the championship. SLAF Station Palaly and Station Colombo became men's  and women's runner up in their categories.

Director Administration Air Vice Marshal CP Welikala graced the occasion as the chief guest. Chairman SLAF Judo  Air Vice Marshal KFR Fernando, Officers and Other ranks were also present at the occasion.
