The Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Air Force Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetileke conducted the Annual Commanders Inspection of SLAF Base Anuradhapura yesterday (11 July 2010).

A parade commanded by Base Commander, SLAF Base Anuradhapura, Group Captain RP Liyanagamage welcomed the Commander to the Base premises.

SLAF Base Anuradhapura was the key Base linking the northern and Eastern operational fronts during the Elam war and was the main hub for air operations during the humanitarian operation. The Base houses the No 6 Helicopter Squadron of the SLAF.

The following personnel were commended by the Commander for exceptionally meritorious execution of duties during the past year.
