SLAF Men and Women Win Defence Services Taekwondo Championship 2018

SLAF Men and women’s teams bagged the 2018 Taekwondo championship with 09 gold medals.
Defence Services Taekwondo Championship 2018 was held on 03rd, 04th and 05th July 2018 at the Indoor Gymnasium of SLAF Base, Katunayake.
SLAF Men’s and Women’s teams bagged the 2018 Taekwondo championship with the SLAF Men’s Team securing Four (4) Gold Medals, Two (2) Silver and three (3) Bronze Medals. SLAF Women’s Team secured Five (5) Gold Medals, Four (4) Silver and four (4) Bronze Medals. The Best Male Player was Leading Aircraftman Thilakarathna DTL.
Air Vice Marshal KFR Fernando, the Director Ground Operations of SLAF graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. Chairman of SLAF Taekwondo, Air Vice Marshal MRK Samarasinghe, Officers and other ranks from Tri Services also witnessed the event.
