The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy handed over a donation of 1 Million Rupees to the Heart to Heart Trust Fund today (27 August 2018) at Air Force Headquarters. Dr. Ruvan Ekanayake a Co-Founder of the Trust accepted the donation from the Commander.
 
Lieutenant General Jagath Dias (Retired), National Organizer of Trust Fund and Dr. Rajitha Y De Silva a Co-Founder of the Trust were also present for the event.
 
The Heart to Heart Trust Fund which was initiated in 2014 supports patients who need urgent cardiac surgery and yet cannot be accommodated in government hospitals due to the long waiting list. Between 2014 and 2018 the Heart to Heart Trust Fund has supported 135 cardiac surgical interventions.
