An all-night 'Pirith Chanting' Ceremony to commemorate personnel of the SLAF who made the supreme sacrifice or are missing in action during active service and to invoke blessings on their souls, was held on 31 August 2018 night followed by an almsgiving for Venerable Maha Sangha on 01 Septhember 2018 at SLAF Station Sigiriya.

The Commanding Officer of the SLAF Station Sigiriya, Wing Commander DCDB Alwis, Officers, other ranks, spouses and children of the SLAF Station Sigiriya, civilian staff and families also participated for the Ceremony and Almsgiving.
