The Helitours Technical Training Centre at SLAF Trade Training School Ekala held the Graduation Ceremony of its third batch of students on 6 October 2018 at Main Auditorium under the patronage of the Director Aeronautical Engineering, Air Vice Marshal MD Rathnayake as the chief guest.
The Basic Training Course in Aircraft Maintenance (BTC in AM) under Aeroplane Turbine Category B1.1 was conducted from 17 September 2015 to 25 September 2017 and the Practical Maintenance Exposure (PME) at Helitours Engineering on MA-60 Aircraft at Sri Lanka Air Force Base Ratmalana from 1 November 2017 to 30 April 2018.
Eighteen (18) students graduated from the training centre, of which Mr. SAA Liyanage became the first in the order of merit. Miss ULDS Karunarathne was awarded for the trophy for Best Student in theory.
The Director Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering, Air Commodore KAL Ranathunga, Command Quality Assurance Officer Air Commodore TADR Senanayake and Commanding Officers of the Aeronautical Engineering Wing and General Engineering Wing were present for the ceremony.
