Helitours undertook an offshore evacuation  on the 23rd of July of an injured crew member from a vessel sailing forty nautical miles South of Sri lanka.

A Bell 212 from the no 4 Helicopter Squadron flying for Helitours landed on the “Equinox Dawn” which was sailing to the port Camedon, United States from Singapore.

A Philippine, Officer Cadet who was on the crew  and had been injured on board in an accident was evacuated and flown to Colombo General Hospital for medication.
