Change of Command at the Sri Lanka Aviation Unit in South Sudan

The Handing over Taking over Parade of the Sri Lanka Air Force Aviation Unit under the United Nations Mission in the Republic of South Sudan (UNMISS) was held at the Contingent Headquarters yesterday (10 July 2019).

The new Contingent Commander, Wing Commander KMSPB Kulathunga RWP, USP, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), MSc (Strat Stu), fawc, psc took over duties as 4th Contingent Commander from Wing Commander D S Samaraweera RWP, RSP and Bar, Pg Dip (Def Mgt).

After the Parade, the new Contingent Commander participated in religious activities held at the Contingent Buddhist Shrine. Following the administrative handing over taking over at the Contingent Commander’s Office, the new Contingent Commander together with his predecessor, all Officers and Other Ranks participated in an all ranks Breakfast held at the Airmen’s Mess.
