The outgoing Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Ampara, Group Captain HWR Chandima  RWP, RSP, USP  handed over duties to Group Captain PSN Fernando RSP,MDS,MA(Sec Stu),psc during the traditional Change of Command Parade yesterday (04 Sep 2019).

Group Captain HWR Chandima  RWP, RSP, USP  took over Command of SLAF Station Ampara on 06 January  2017 and will be proceeding as Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Katukurunda.

Group Captain PSN Fernando RSP,MDS,MA(Sec Stu),psc  held the appointment of Commanding Officer of SLAF Detachment  Maththala prior to being appointed as the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Ampara.

The ceremonial Handing Over/Taking Over Parade took place at the Station Parade Square and was commanded by Wing Commander DSMLK Sugathadasa.

The Outgoing Commanding Officer addressed the parade and all personnel of the Station and thanked them for the support they had extended during his tenure as the Commanding Officer.
