The Seva Vanitha Unit of Sri Lanka Air Force Station Colombo organized a lecture on “Suicide Prevention”, on the 10th of September 2019 at Airmen Mess. This was in line with the commemoration of “World Suicide Prevention Day” observed on the 10th of September worldwide. The guest lecture was conducted by Dr, Geethni Amaratunga, Gr. I, B.A. (S.J’pura), MSc. (Kel’ya) Ph.D. (Kel'ya), Senior Lecturer at the Department of Sociology, University of Kelaniya.

This awareness event was organized for Officers, Airmen and Airwomen of SLAF Station Colombo, under the guidance of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Mayuri Prabhavi Dias and Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Colombo, Air Commodore Waruna Gunawardana.
