Change of Command at the SLAF Regiment Training School Vanni

The Outgoing Commanding Officer of SLAF Regiment Training School Vanni, Air Commodore KKAK Kaluarachchi RSP, USP handed over duties to Air Commodore DCI Weerasooriya USP, psc, isc. The Ceremonial Handing Over/ Taking Over Parade took place at the Station Parade Square today (10 March 2020).
The outgoing Commanding Officer took over Command of the Regiment Training School Vanni on the 9th of January 2017 and served at the position for more than three years. During his tenure he has taken many steps to develop the Station as well as to improve facilities of Officers, Other Rankers and civil people who live in close proximity to the School.
The outgoing Commanding Officer thanked all personnel of the School for the support they extended to him during his tenure and wished all a successful future.
The new Commanding Officer, Air Commodore DCI Weerasooriya was the Deputy Sector Commander of Sector 12 at SLAF Base Katunayake before being appointed as the Commanding Officer of the SLAF Regiment Training School Vanni.
