No 8 Air Field and Base Defence Proficiency Course for Bangladesh Air Force Personnel

No 8 Air Field and Base Defence Proficiency Course for Bangladesh Air Force personnel was conducted at SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa from 21 January to 26 March 2020 for 45 working days including the Air Base Defence Practical Phase at SLAF Station Ampara for 10 working days.

The course was attended by four Officers and six Other Rankers from the Bangladesh Air Force and the course content included Concept of Air Field and Base Defence (ABD), advantages and disadvantages of ABD, Problems peculiar to ABD and utilization of specialized units in ABD and many other related topics.

On completion of the course, a graduation ceremony was held on 15 April 2020 where the course certificates and insignias were awarded to the course participants by the Commanding Officer, Air Commodore C Wickramaratne. Further, the course participants appreciated the facilities provided and effort taken by the entire training staff and thanked the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force for offering them the opportunity.   

The Officer Commanding Training, Chief Instructor Officer Training together with Other Rank Instructors at SLAF CTS Diyatalawa shouldered the responsibility of training the foreign participants throughout the course.
