SLAF Base Katunayake Contribute to International Coastal Cleanup Day

Troops from SLAF Base Katunayake launched a cleaning programme along the coastal belt of Sri Lanka from the Browns Beach area, Negombo under the directives of the Base Commander, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha on 19 September 2020 to contribute to the National Marine Resources Conservation Week (19-25 September 2020) that coincides with the International Coastal Cleanup Day-2020.

During the cleaning session, SLAF troops were able to clean the entire beach area and Public Health Inspectors also extended their hands by cooperating with the SLAF troops to make the event a success.
