The change of command at the SLAF Station Bandaranayake International Airport (BIA) was held Yesterday (11 November 2020).

The outgoing Commanding Officer, Air Vice Marshal AJ Amerasinghe  RSP, USP , MDS, MHRM, MSSD, BSc (Def Stu) in Mgt, ndc (Ban), psc handed over the duties to Air Commodore MDJ Wasage  USP, MSc (Def Stu) in Mgt, Pg Dip IR.

The traditional Handing Over / Taking Over Parade was held where the Outgoing Commanding Officer thanked all service and civilian personnel for the support they extended to him during his tenure as the Commanding Officer. Air Vice Marshal AJ Amerasinghe will take over the command of SLAF Station Colombo as the Commanding Officer.
