The traditional Handing Over/ Taking Over Parade of SLAF Base Vavuniya took place yesterday (09 June 2021) where the Acting Base Commander, Group Captain M S Kumarage BSc (Def Stu) handed over command to Group Captain J M D R A P Jayamaha psc, qfi.

The new Base Commander, Group Captain Jayamaha held the appointment of Director Naval and Air Operations at the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff in Colombo before being appointed to command SLAF Base Vavuniya.
