The Badge Awarding Ceremony of the No. 56 Airmen and No. 31 Naval Personnel EOD Basic Courses of the EOD Training School at SLAF Station Palavi was held today (22 June 2021) at SLAF Station Palavi. The Senior Staff Officer of the Directorate of Ground Operations, Air Commodore SD Kotage RWP, USP graced this occasion as the Chief Guest.

The courses commenced on 01st February 2021 and today’s parade comprised of two (02) Naval Officers, eleven (11) Airmen and five (05) Sailors. At today’s ceremony eighteen (18) trainees all together received their certificates and badges to mark the successful completion of their EOD Training.

Lieutenant HDN Prashad (SBS) was recognized as the Best All-Rounder from all Officers and Leading Aircraftsman Ranathunga HS was recognized as the Best All-Rounder from all Other Rankers. Other special award winners are as follows.
