The Change of Command Parade of the No 1 Information Technology Wing at SLAF Base Ratmalana was held yesterday (18 August 2021) at the Wing Premises. The new Commanding Officer, Wing Commander API Sampath Kumara Pg Dip (Def Mgt) took over the command from Outgoing Commanding Officer, Wing Commander KDC Krishantha BSc (IT) as the 4th Commanding Officer of the Wing.

Wing Commander Sampath Kumara held the appointment of Staff Officer Information Technology II before taking over command of the Wing. The Outgoing Commanding Officer, Wing Commander KDC Krishantha will be proceeding to Air Force Headquarters where he will be taking over duties as a Staff Officer at the Directorate of Information Technology of the SLAF.
