SLAF Special Ops Group Wanni emerged champs at the Sri Lanka Air Force Inter Unit Boxing Meet 2011, which concluded on 8 April, 2011 in Colombo. 120 fighters from 12 Air Force camps battled it out in the ring at the SLAF Fire Unit during the three day tournament.

SLAF BIA pugilists secured second place with 21 points while those from Vavuniya came in third place with a margin of one point. AC Nissanka of Wanni Special Ops Group was adjudged the Best Boxer while AC Dinesh Bandara was awarded the title of Best Loser.

President of the Amateur Boxing Association, Deputy Inspector General (Rtd) Rohan Abeywardena was chief guest at this action packed sporting extravaganza.
