SLAF women emerged runners up in the Munchee National Super League Volleyball tournament whilst the Bureau of Foreign Employment team emerged champions.

The SLAF women put up a good fight and clinched the first set.  However the  Foreign Employment team fought keenly to win the next three consecutive rounds to clinch the championship.

The president of the National Volleyball Federation, Foreign Employment Development and Welfare Minister Dilan Perera, creator of ‘Tharunyayata Hetak’ and member of parliament Namal Rajapaksha, Commander of the SLAF Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama  and the Chairman of SLAF Volleyball Air Commodore Rohan Pathirage were among the many distinguished guests at the this event.
