Air Movement Complex Established In Katunayake

The newly constructed Air Movement Complex at SLAF Base Katunayake was declared open by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama recently.

With the re-location of No 02 Transport Squadron to SLAF Base Katunayake, this complex will facilitate personnel travelling on SLAF Helitours flights throughout the island. The Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake, Air Commodore Ranil Gurusinghe members of the Air Force Board of Management and senior officers attended this event.

The Hon  Basil Rajapaksha, Minister of Economic Development  was the first passenger to utilize this facility. The next day the renowned cricket/commentator Tony Grieg was seen transiting the facility
