A Mental Health awareness program was held at the Sri Lanka Air Force Unit Wirawila on 12th September 2011 with the key participation of the Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit (SVU) Chairperson Mrs. Neelika Abeywickrama.

Under the patronage of the chairperson of the SVU, the Director of the National Council for Mental Health, Specialist Psychiatrist Nirosha Mendis conducted a program for service personnel and their families.

During the session, Psychiatrist Nirosha Mendis educated all personnel who attended on mental health, how to maintain one’s mental health and also gave guidance on how a person’s mental health could be uplifted.
