Commander’s Annual Inspection of SLAF Mirigama 2011

The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama conducted the Annual Inspection of SLAF Station Mirigama on 16th September 2011.
At SLAF station Mirigama Commanding Officer Wing Commander Rohan Jayasundara received the Commander on his arrival to the Station premises through a Street Lining which was conferred by Flight Lieutenant Channa Nandasena.
During the inspection, Flight Sergeant Chaminda DM (Air Radio) and Leading Aircraftsman Sooriyarachchi (Air Radio) were commended by the Commander.
After completing the inspection the Commander planted a mango tree to commemorate the visit and then attended the all ranks lunch held at the airmen mess.
He also addressed all personnel of the station and mentioned that they were lucky to work in this beautiful environment. Further he stated that whilst maintaining the natural beauty it is essential that all personnel assist with the special projects that have been entrusted to station which will benefit the development of both the country and the Sri Lanka Air Force.
