The Sri Lanka Air Force Men’s team emerged champions at the Western Province Inter Club Badminton Championship which was held in St. Thomas College Mt. Lavinia from 11th December 2011 to 12th December 2011.  The team comprised 014788 LAC Fernando KEN, 014835 LAC Matarage IN, TA/27157 AC Madusnaka RSK, 023982 AC Fernando WKBOA, 023983 AC Ranaweera KKDK, 024380 AC  Minimuthu KC.  

The Women Team, which comprised of AW/01487 AC Ranjala GS and AW/01499 AC Rathanayake UEJ, became the Runner up in the Women’s event.   

Chairman of York International School in Kadawatha graced the occasion as the chief guest.
