Registration is open only for national and international Military Leaders, Professionals in the field of Defence and Security and Members of Think Tank Institutes.
Registration is in two categories on free of charge basis.
Registration as a "research author"
Registration as an "attendee"
Both categories are subjected to security clearance through respective diplomatic channels and clearance by the Ministry of Defence (MOD) of Sri Lanka before invitations are issued.
Registration for Symposium and Selection of Criteria
All foreign and local authors and attendees are requested to register online in order to receive the formal letter of invitation. The registration process will be free of charge
Researchers are requested to adhere strictly to the time line given for submitting research abstracts in 800-1200 words in English.
Entire symposium will be conducted in the English Language
The abstract should describe the background of the project, the methodology for achieving research results/outcome.The format for research abstract is available to download. (Click for “Research Abstract Format”)
Short listed research authors are to submit the full research paper to the symposium committee for the purpose of evaluation on announcement.The format for Full Research Paper is available to download. (Click for “Research Abstract Format”)
The symposium committee will select the “Best Research Paper” and will be awarded the ‘Best Research Paper Award”.
Every participant must confirm his or her participation as per the time line specified.
Accepted applicants are only allowed to participate for the symposium conference.
Acceptance or rejection of application to participate in the symposium in any capacity will be at the discretion of the symposium selection committee
The chairperson of the Air Symposium committee must be notified of any registration cancellations or any alterations as per the time line given.
Scope of Service
International research authors and International attendees (invited) will be provided with Luxary hotel facilities free of charge basis. The Symposium Committee will reserve the right to alter the accommodation arrangements due to any unavoidable circumstances.
International research authors and International attendees (invited) will be provided transport for the symposium and its’ events only.
The organizing committee will provide meals and refreshments for all researchers and attendees for the Symposium programme.
Liability and Insurance
The Symposium Committee reserves the rights to amend any part of the Symposium programme and venue if necessary at any time
The Symposium Committee will not accept liability for damages of any nature sustained by delegates or accompanying persons, or loss of, or damage to their personal property as a result of the Symposium or related events. In the event of industrial disruption or acts of god, Symposium Committee will not accept any responsibility for losses incurred by participants. Participants should make their own arrangements with respect to personal insurance, along with medical facilities if deemed necessary.
Research authors and attendees who wish to stay in Sri Lanka post event dates as a leisure stay, participation for any educational programme etc are requested to inform the Symposium committee via contacts before applying for visa issuing process. The Symposium committee has no liability over visa fee for entire duration of stay in Sir Lanka and also no liability, financial or otherwise, on overstay in Sri Lanka
Privacy
In registering for the Air Symposium 2023, relevant details will be incorporated into a participant list for the benefit of all delegates. Information provided by research authors will be solely used for the purposes of contractual obligations of the symposium.
Applicable Laws
The contractual relationship shall exclusively be subjected to Law of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
The Chairman Organizing Committee has sole authority to deny any paper submitted.
The Colombo Air Symposium - 2023 will be conducted according to guidelines of Sri Lankan government for COVID 19 Pandemic.
