The SLAF Nursery Colombo celebrated the Sinhala Tamil New Year festival at their kindergarten premises on 28th March 2013. The Officer in Charge of the Nursery Sqn Ldr ERU Perera was the Chief Guest at the event. The celebration gave the kids a glimpse of the traditional customs and the opportunity to witness same.

Traditional customs such as lightening the oil lamp, introducing traditional dresses, tasting traditional sweets, worshipping elders and traditional games were part of the festival. The nursery staff, teachers and the parents worked tirelessly to make the event a success.
