The Sri Lanka Air Force Pre-School in Colombo, held its Annual Sports Meet on 1 August 2019 at the Rifle Green Grounds, Colombo.

Hoisting of the National Flag followed by the lighting of symbolic Olympic Torch commenced proceedings for the day. A number of children's games and fun activities were organized to give them a day full of enjoyment. The Kids’ Band Display and Drill Display took the attention of those who were present to witness the event.

The establishment of pre-schools of international standards in Air Force establishments located around the country was a concept introduced by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit. This indeed generates immense value, as it eases the burden of providing quality early education for children of personnel serving in the SLAF as well as for the children of people living in the vicinity of SLAF establishments.

The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Mayuri Prabhavi Dias graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Colombo, Air Commodore GGWTK Gunawardana, Officers, Other Ranks together with the parents also witnessed the event.
