SLAF Firefighters Assists to Conduct Fire and Rescue Drill at BOC Head Office Building

The Fire and Rescue Unit of Sri Lanka Air Force conducted a joint fire and rescue drill at Bank of Ceylon HQ Building on 04 October 2019 along with Sri Lanka Army, Navy, Police and Colombo Fire Brigade.

Thirty-Nine (39) Sri Lanka Air Force personnel participated in the Firefighting and rescue exercise with the supervision of SLAF Chief Fire Officer Wing Commander Jagath Kumara Ratnayake and Exercise Commander Squadron Leader Arshirvada De Silva.

The SLAF Firefighters demonstrated several rescue tactics like rope rappelling, jumping seat etc. Further, showed their firefighting and HAZMAT response capabilities.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
