The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias conducted the Commander's Inspection of SLAF Station Weerawila yesterday (13 November 2019). The Commanding Officer, Group Captain Manoaj Keppetipola received the Commander with a ceremonial guard of honour.

The Commander inspected the Station premises and presented Certificates of Commendation to the following service and civil personnel for their exceptional dedication towards SLAF Station Weerawila.

Addressing all personnel of the station, Commander stressed on the strategic importance of the Station and the contribution given by the station to achieve the vision and mission of the Sri Lanka Air Force. Further, the Commander emphasized the importance of maintaining personal discipline, maintaining a high level of comradeship and performing duties within the framework of Civil and Air Force Laws.

 
Finally, the Commander appreciated the commendable effort taken by all Officers, Staff and Civilians in maintaining the standards of the Station to a very high level. The Commander also joined in for the customary All Ranks Lunch at the Airmens’ Mess with a cross section of Officers, Airmen, Airwomen and Civilian staff.
