NCO MANAGEMENT SCHOOL AT CHINA BAY CELEBRATES 21ST ANNIVERSARY

The Non-Commissioned Officers’ Management School at SLAF Academy China bay proudly commemorated its 21st anniversary yesterday (01 September 2021) under the patronage of the Commanding Officer, Wing Commander MTM Safrask.

The NCO Management School is a prominent training formation which imparts valuable knowledge on NCO’s in the areas of Management, Leadership, Administration, Communication, Information Technology and English Language in order to better equip them to face future challenges effectively in the armed Forces.

The school has so far graduated 5960 Air Force NCO’s, 57 Army NCO’s and 106 Navy NCO’s. All of them are performing well in their respective services equipped with knowledge of administration, human resource management, linguistic skills, leadership skills and many more. Those who successfully completed the management module were awarded with the Certificate in Management by the Rajarata University.

The Anniversary day’s proceedings commenced with an address of the Commanding Officer, where he expressed his gratitude to all the past and present Commanders, Commandants, Commanding Officers, Officers, Instructors and all others who have rendered their distinguished service towards the development of the School from its inception to this level. The event was further marked by a three planting ceremony and a fatigue programme to clean the runway shoulders of SLAF Academy China Bay through the voluntary contribution of trainees and permanent staff.

The overall event was conducted in accordance with COVID – 19 health guidelines issued by Air Force Headquarters.
