The NCO Management School of the SLAF Academy China Bay conducted the awarding ceremony of the No. 14 English Medium and No. 85 Sinhala Medium Non Commissioned Officers’ Management Courses on 08th of October 2021 under the patronage of the Acting Director General Engineering, Air Commodore P Ranasinghe as the Chief Guest.

The primary objective of conducting these courses were to transfer a sound academic and managerial knowledge and sharpening leadership qualities within Non Commissioned Officers of the Tri-Forces. The course ran through a well-formed syllabus over a scheduled period of 13 weeks. Both courses were affiliated to the University of Rajarata and all Non Commissioned Officers who fulfilled the required criteria were awarded with a Certificate in Management.

The No. 14 English Medium and No. 85 Sinhala Medium comprised of 79 Senior Non Commissioned Officers and 64 Junior Non Commissioned Officers from the SLAF, a Senior Non Commissioned Officer from the SL Army and 02 Senior Non Commissioned Officers from the SL Navy. At the Ceremony 146 awardees received certificates to mark the successful completion of the courses.

Flight Sergeant Wickramarachchi WASP (Operations Air) and Corporal Harindi Kumari TGK (Certified. Nurse) were selected as the Best All-Round Senior and Junior Non Commissioned Officers of the No. 14 English Medium, while Sergeant Karaiyawasam KGS (Air Frame) and Corporal Prasanna Kumara DRL (Aeronautical Engine) were adjudged as the Best All-Round Senior and Junior Non Commissioned Officers respectively in the No. 85 Sinhala Medium Course.
