The Largest Air Base Visited by its Commander

Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayaka, the largest air base in the country, was visited by the Commander of the SLAF Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetileke on his annual inspections held on 24 & 25 September 2009. This base is the home to all Fighter Jet Squadrons, The VIP Helicopter Squadron as well as several engineering and other supporting elements.

A parade commanded by Air Commodore Ranil Gurusinghe, Base commander SLAF Base Katunayaka welcomed the Commander to the base premises last morning.
