48th Batch of Management Qualified NCOS Pass Out of Chinabay

The passing out ceremony of the 48th Non Commissioned Officers’ Management Course was held at the Non Commissioned Officers’ Management School auditorium at the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay on 5th December 2011.
A batch comprising of 45 Senior Non Commissioned Officers, 40 Junior Non Commissioned Officers, 2 Army Senior Non Commissioned Officers and 2 Naval Petty Officers completed this comprehensive course which is accredited to the University of Rajarata.
Air Vice Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala, the Director of Air Operation graced the ceremony as the chief guest while Air Vice Marshal Kishan Yahampath , the Director of Training and Group Captain Prassanna Ranasingha, The Acting Commandant of the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay witnessed the event as the honorary guests.
The prime intention of providing this course is to transform a sound academic and management knowledge while sharpening leadership qualities within the Non Commissioned Officers of the SLAF. The course runs through a well formed syllabus over a period of 11 weeks.
Wing Commander T.V.D Deshapriya, The Commanding Officer of Non Commissioned Officers’ Management School Squadron Leader A.S Welisara (Senior Instructor), Squadron Leader R.S.A.N.E Rajapaksha (Directing Staff Administration), Squadron Leader J.B Pussadeniya (English Language Instructor) and Flying Officer PS Priyantha (Training Coordinator) attended the passing out ceremony.
The Commanding Officer of the Combat Training School Wing Commander PSN Fernando, the Chief Instructor Junior Command & Staff College Wing Commander MADA Jayathilaka, the Commanding Officer of the No. 24 Regiment Wing, Wing Commander SR Wettasinghe and the Commanding Officer of the No.1 Flying Training Wing Squadron Leader M.N De Alwis were the other distinguished guests witnessed the ceremony.
15149 Flight Sergeant Weerasinghe KR (Clerk General Duties Specialist I) was placed as the best all-round Senior Non Commissioned Officer category while 23766 Corporal Namal MAP (Nurse Certificated Special) was placed as the best all-round Junior Non Commissioned Officer category. Other special award winners are as follows.
