PACE STICK, LANYARD AND CANE AWARDING CEREMONY OF DRILL AND GUNNER INSTRUCTORS AT SLAF CTS DIYATALAWA
The Ceremony of Pace Stick awarding for No.55 Airmen Drill Instructor Technique course and Lanyard and Cane awarding for No.65 Airmen Gunner Instructor Technique courses was held yesterday (23 December 2024) at the SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa.
The Commanding Officer, Air Commodore HTH Dharmadasa graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Officer Commanding Training, Wing Commander KMKB Jayasekara, as well as all Officers and Instructors participated for the occasion.
Corporal Wijeratha KHMKS was adjudged as the Best Drill Instructor while Leading Aircraftman Siriwaradana STN was adjudged as the Best All Round Gunner Instructor of the courses. A total of eight Airmen qualified to receive the distinctive Pace Stick and 22 Airmen qualified to receive the distinctive lanyard and cane during the ceremony.
