A helicopter rescue exercise was successfully conducted today (18 June
2026) at Peanut Farm Beach in Panama area with the objective of
strengthening security and safety arrangements for both domestic and
international tourists.
The newly appointed Defence Attaché of the Embassy of the People's
Republic of China in Sri Lanka, Senior Colonel Fu Xiao, called on the
Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, today (17
June 2026) at Air Force Headquarters.
The Awarding Ceremony for Certificates of Commendation and Qualification
Insignia was held today (16 June 2026) at Air Force Headquarters. The
Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, graced the
occasion.
Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
