No. 1 Flying Training Wing (No 1 FTW) proudly known as the “Cradle of
Military Aviators” commemorated its 75th Anniversary today (01 September
2026) at the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay marking seven and a
half decades of distinguished service and excellence in military flying
training.
The Non-Commissioned Officers' Management School, SLAF Academy China
Bay, celebrated its 26th Anniversary on 01st September 2026 under the
guidance of the Acting Commanding Officer, Squadron Leader KL
Dhanawalawithana.
Air Vice Marshal Prasanka Martino was appointed as the Director General
Aeronautical Engineering in the Sri Lanka Air Force, effective from
today (01 September 2026).
