In parallel with the 75th Anniversary of the SLAF and under the guidance
of the Commander of the Air Force and the Chief of Staff, the
foundation stone for a renovation and construction project at
Konakumbukwewa Maha Vidyalaya - Anuradhapura, was laid today (26 June
2026).
A significant event took place at the SLAF Combat Training School
Diyatalawa as the Student Officers of No.78 and No.80 B Direct Entry
Courses were Commissioned today (26 June 2026). Deputy Chief of Staff,
Air Vice Marshal Gihan Senevirathne graced the occasion as the Chief
Guest.
The Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda,
paid a farewell call on the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air
Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, at Air Force Headquarters today (26 June
2026).
Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
