SLAF TRADE TRAINING SCHOOL EKALA MARKS 55TH ANNIVERSARY
SLAF Trade Training School (TTS) Ekala marked its 55th Anniversary today (02 January 2026). The anniversary celebration activities were conducted under the guidance of the Commanding Officer, Air Commodore Kolitha Abeysinghe. The celebrations commenced with a symbolic Working Parade, during which the Commanding Officer appreciated the personnel for their valuable service rendered during disaster relief operations carried out under the adverse weather conditions caused by Cyclone Ditwah.
As part of the anniversary programme, a tree-planting initiative featuring cashew plants was conducted within the camp premises. The Commanding Officer, senior officers and a cross-section of airmen participated in the programme.
In line with the anniversary celebrations, cricket and netball tournaments were organised, and officers and other ranks of the Trade Training School actively took part in these sporting events.
