‘ගුවන් හමුදා පාපැදි සවාරිය’ or the Air Force Annual Cycling Tour is a professional Road Cycling tour organized by the Sri Lanka Air Force in partnership with the Cycling Federation of Sri Lanka, the Sri Lanka’s official governing body for cycling.
Currently it consists of two events or races, namely the Men’s Race and the Women’s Race.
Men’s Race is the flagship event of the tour and it is conducted as a Multi Stage Cycling tour. The Men’s Race was inaugurated in 1999 and since then it has been held for every year except in 2008 where the event was cancelled due to security reasons.
Women’s Race was started in year 2012 and since then it has been held every year. Women’s Race is held as a single day race.
This tour is a regular feature in the Sri Lanka’s annual cycling calendar published by the Cycling Federation of Sri Lanka and is rated as the most prestigious/recognized Road Cycling event in the country.
