Airmen and Airwomen can choose from a wide range of support roles to specialized technical roles. Airmen and Airwomen make up the majority of personnel in the Sri Lanka Air Force, bringing in their specialist skills to provide vital support roles such as Engineering and Technical, Force Protection, Logistics, Personnel Administration, Medical Support and Intelligence. The Command Recruiting Officer will ascertain the number of vacancies available in respective Trades which require to be fulfilled.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

• Six (06) Passes at the GCE (O/L) Examination in not more than two sittings, including a Simple (S) pass in Sinhala or Tamil language.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Appeared for GCE (O/L) Examination or Pearson Edexcel International General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) exam or Cambridge International Ordinary Level exams.

Possession of NVQ Level Qualification on Agriculture, Agriculture related areas (Nursery management, In house cultivation, Budding & grafting, Bee keeping and Food processing) and Livestock management courses will be an added advantage. Working experience to operate Combine harvester, Four wheel Tractor, Rice Mill processing machines and other procedures. Possession of special skills in Welding, Plumbing, Masonry work, electrical wiring, Vehicle tinkering & painting, Cold room trouble shooting and bearing heavy vehicle driving license will be considered as added qualifications

• Candidates who are applying with Pearson Edexcel International General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) or Cambridge International Ordinary Level exams without a Simple pass for Sinhala or Tamil language should obtain pass grading for Sinhala or Tamil language within 05 years from the date of enlistment.
