The SLAF Academy China Bay has recovered a large stock of Munitions from an abandoned agricultural well in the Kappalturai  area of the Trincomalee District which comes under the intelligence  purview of the SLAF Academy China Bay. The cache of arms was recovered based on information received  by the intelligence section of the SLAF Academy China Bay by personnel from the  Intelligence and EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) unit who functionedl under the guidance of the Academy Commandant, Air Commodore SK Pathirana.

The recovered items are as follows:
